Summer
The reason why I picked In Darkness by Nick Lake is because I thought because I thought the plot line was very interesting with the earthquake that just happened in Haiti in 2010 . And I was really liked the story line of this book. What attracted me to this novel is that I liked the name of the book and I really like books about survival and like natural disasters and how he has to get put of certain situations and what he has to live through through a tough. There wasn't many connections I had in his book because I never really had to live through what he had to live through and his type of situations which was life and death situations and a lot of poverty and starvation which I never experienced. The people I would recommend reading this book is the people that love to read about realistic books and books on where you have to think about everything on what's going on in little details of the book. Also this is a book where you have to be patient with it can get a little slow but it's worth reading cause I really enjoyed reading this book and I recommend everyone to read this book (In Darkness)
An example of hookin g the reader in my book "In Darkness" is in the pages through pages 40 and 41."We shared the same soul so when she was gone I became half a person. I would like you to remember this, so that you don't judge me later. Remember :even now ,as I lie in this ruined hospital , I am only one half of a life, one half of a soul,I know this. This is why I have done the things I have done." In this example he talks about the desicions he made that would affect him in the future and what he had to think about during his desicions if it would help him or his family or hurt them.. This really hooked me because the author used really good words to say what the character was saying in my example above. There was a lot of hookings in the book there was always so,etching going on that you had to just keep reading.

The complexity of my characters in my summer reading book is that my character will have a lot of challenges through the earthquake in Haiti and he going to have a lot of conflicts he has to go through alone and it will be life and death situations and he's the only one to make the right decision on getting pass the natural disaster and. The people of Haiti. Themes that are appearing is that the author uses the main character as the voice of the whole book and what he thinks on any situations.
Summer project
The major characters of my book is named shorty and he's a boy from hati and he confused about what's going on around him. The setting takes place in hati a country below the untied states of America but it's a really poor country and has a lot of crime and poor citizens. My predictions are that shorty is experiencing from a natural disaster in hati and that's why he's in the hospital .and he will have to survive through it and have a rough adventure and journey through it.

Publishes choise
The blog I chose to pick that was the most strongest or most distinct voice is probably the blog that shows the character of Montag. The specific words i used to showcase my personality as a writer was like the word of "regret" or "remorse" and these words can create a better picture to whoever is reading this or my blogs.
In my blog post I had some exapmles of syntax in my blog especially commas. In my second paragraph of the Montag Blog there is a sentence where I used a comma and this makes the sentense more intresting and makes it a run-on sentence and it will make the reader more amused."In this quote it shows how montag expresses his opoinion on whats messed up in the soiciety, like for example when he watched that lady burn in the house." There is an expamle of diction in my blog post and the diction inmy blog post shows in a informational way of informing the reader about the character of Montag."But he has a different view on the society he his in and he thinks they should not burn the books and change the way they they live in and how they do things."

Author of 1984
The author primary goal in 1984 is to demonstrate the terrifying possibilities of totalitarianism. The reader experiences the nightmarish world that Orwell envisions through the eyes of the protagonist, Winston. His personal tendency to resist the stifling of his individuality, and his intellectual ability to reason about his resistance, enables the reader to observe and understand the harsh oppression that the Party, Big Brother, and the Thought Police institute.
Totalitarianism is showed an demonstrated in this book on whya would happend if a country was ruled by that and the author does a terrific job on explaining and showing about totalitarianism .
1984 chapter 5
In 1984 Winston writes in his diary that any hope for revolution against the Party must come from the proles. He believes that the Party cannot be destroyed from within, and that even the Brotherhood, a legendary revolutionary group, lacks the wherewithal to defeat the mighty Thought Police.
So in the book so far it's has been real interesting but it's can a bit hard to get the meaning and vocabulary of this books but that's what makes the book more interesting

1984 summary cahpter 1
On a cold day in April of 1984, a man named Winston Smith returns to his home, a dilapidated apartment building called Victory Mansions. Thin, frail, and thirty-nine years old, it is painful for him to trudge up the stairs because he has a varicose ulcer above his right ankle. The elevator is always out of service so he does not try to use it.
Chapter 1 was a really thought out and his explanition on what was going on and all of his surroundings were described really well. At first reading htis book i thought i was going t o be boerd but honestly its a real good book that everyone should read

Montag in Fahrenheit 451
My character that I chose was Montag. Montag is a Firefighter but his duty is not to save a house or people from fire but its his duty to burn books whenever he can find one. But he has a different view on the society he his in and he thinks they should not burn the books and change the way they they live in and how they do things.
The quote i found the book is "because all we put into it is hunting and finding and killing. What a shame if thats all we ever know". In this quote it shows how montag expresses his opoinion on whats messed up in the soiciety, like for example when he watched that lady burn in tghe house i think he felt like there was a lot of regret on what he did to that women i think he had alot of remorse too after it happend.

This is the link that represents my ability to analyse complex characters and etc... This the best represented because I think this post is the most thought out of and well detailed about the character i chose in my novel. This shows characterization because in my blog explains alot about the character what he has to go through and just how he impacted the story.
My goal next tri for reading is not to read a book in a week but actually plan out dates and times so then i would not have to rush like I did this tri. With writing i felt like I wasn't too bad at writing but I know i could do better only if i put the effort into it like with reading
The one thing i was struggling with was getting to read my book and actually remembering to do my blog, the one thing I fixed to do my work was to write it in my planner. The one strength of blogging was that I had alot of good blogs ,I posted I feel like i had pretty good blog.
Theme of The Hobbit
The Hobbit’s main theme is Bilbo’s development into a hero, which more broadly represents the development of a common person into a hero with the journey he takes to get the dragon smaug to get the gold back.
Confronting the trolls, escaping with Gollum’s ring, slaying the spider, rescuing the dwarves in Mirkwood, and speaking face-to-face with the great dragon Smaug all provide Bilbo with opportunities to test his resolve. As he builds confidence and resourcefulness, Bilbo emerges as a true hero.

Bilbo Baggins in The Hobbit
The hero of the story. Bilbo is a hobbit, “a short, human-like person.” Commonsensical and fastidious, Bilbo leads a quiet life in his comfortable hole at Bag End and, like most hobbits, is content to stay at home. But Bilbo possesses a great deal of untapped inner strength, and when the wizard Gandalf persuades Bilbo to join a group of dwarves on a quest to reclaim their gold from a dragon.
Bilbo ends up playing a crucial role as the company’s burglar. Bilbo’s adventures awaken his courage and initiative and prove his relentless ability to do what needs to be done.

The Hobbit Plot
Bilbo Baggins lives a quiet, peaceful life in his comfortable hole at Bag End. Bilbo lives in a hole because he is a hobbit—one of a race of small, plump people about half the size of humans, with furry toes and a great love of good food and drink and he tries to go on a adventure with 13 dwarfs to get the treasure that was stolen by the dragon smaug.
The dwarves are very skeptical about Gandalf’s choice for a burglar, and Bilbo is terrified to leave his comfortable life to seek adventure. But Gandalf assures both Bilbo and the dwarves that there is more to the little hobbit than meets the eye this what makes them keep going on the adventure to not give up.

But Gandalf assures both Bilbo and the dwarves that there is more to the little hobbit than meets the eye this what makes them keep going on the adventure to not give up.
Now I am reading the book that is called The Blind Side by Micheal Lewis. This book is all about a poor teeneager that has to live in a poor nehiborhood or basically the wrong part of town. With his mom in Jail as a kid he had no mother, and no father to look after him. Right now im at the part where he is living with his uncle, aunt, cousin and his brother and there trying to find him to a good school for success.
Michal Ohar was known of just being a huge strong and big guy but he was very poor and basically had no home. But in the book it says that he would never give up on his future and something good would happen to him if he kept moving the right way which did happen later on.

A breif summary of the book im reading thats called the eleventh plague is about how whole world became a wasteland with all of the power going out, houses and buildings being abandoned, and people dying left and right. Stephen and his dad use all of their effort to do whatever it takes to stay alive. One day, Stephen's dad sustains a head injury that puts him in a coma. Stephen then has to look out for himself and his dad who is now helpless and in a coma.
This book was a really good read because there was alot of dramatic event that had taken place and there was alot of drama that they had to figure out as a team and move oin to stay alive.

A teenager named Stephen Quinn grew up as a salvager in wasteland once known as the United States. A disease that the inhabitants of earth call The Eleventh Plague, or P11 for short, spread throughout the world causing chaos and killing millions. And its amazing and breath taking on how they get through staying alive from the plague and how they react with eachother with confliccts or obsticles in there journey to stay alive .
I really loved The Eleveth Plague because of the cautious, quiet, and understanding protagonist and all the stages Stephen goes through. He changes from being cautious and closed to trusting those around him.Although he passed on early in the book, his grandpa’s strict voice remains in Stephen’s head which is how Stephen makes his decisions. Another charcater Settler’s Landing, Jenny Tan, is Asien. Everyone calls her a traitor and, she is just like Stephen at the beginning, quiet and untrusting, but strong and is a big influence on Stephen.
I think they need tyo work as a team because then they would be way more successful trying ot stay alive in the plague.
